Strategic planning isn't unique to communications, but our take on it has some important elements. The most effective communication strategists consider many factors before crafting the tools that will be used to get the job done. For example, a brilliantly written news release won't be nearly as effective unless the timing is right.
Smart strategies start with a conversation so I can understand your goals, organization, environment, stakeholders, timeline, budget, and other needs or concerns. Usually after our initial conversation, I will draft a proposed plan that outlines our strategy, timeline and budget. I am collaborative in my work style with clients and look forward to the process of arriving at a plan that works well for everyone involved in it.
